Our Vineyards

All of the vineyards are situated on one hill called Kraví hora (Cow´s hill). Kraví hora is one of the last hills of Bohemian – Moravian Highlands which roll into the Pannonian Basin. Soil from the hill is created from ancient rocks with volcanic origin, namely granite, gneiss and granodioritte. The weathering of these rocks occurs and clay based soil develops which is excellent for plants

The vineyards are partly located in the smallest and youngest Czech National Park (Podyjí National Park) and are at an altitude of 250–300 meters above sea level. The vines are protected against cold wind from the North and open to the warmer Southeast wind from the Balkan Peninsula.
